POP UP STORE
Editorial Gustavo Gili: China expansion
Editorial Gustavo Gili is a family publishing business specialising in architecture, design, fashion, photography and art. It has the most complete catalogue of architecture and design publications in the Spanish and Latin-American market.
The Pop up store aims to launch the editorial into the China market, in an academic way.
It is placed in the Biennale of Urbanism and architecture of Shenzhen (China) because it is an event that receives a large number of professionals, students and distributors.
The installation's concept is to build with books. A platform and a wall made of books create the pop up space. The wall separates two areas: an exhibition area and a business area.
The books from the wall are made of cardboard to reduce weight and recycle them after the event. They are glued together and reinforced with steel tubes.
In the exhibition area, the boxes used to transport books to the Biennale are used as expositor furniture and storage.
The business area is distinguished by its elegant design, following the Editorial's values and style.
After the end of the Biennale all materials and furniture will be recycled, reused or relocated to minimise the environmental impact.
